The picture below shows the trash we collected, dragged and carried to the top of the
Scarborough Bluffs in April 2008.
Over 3500 kg of trash !!
Few weeks ago I walked from East Point Park towards Guildwood.
I couldn't believe my eyes the shoreline below East Point Park is littered again with trash,
tires and SHOPPING CARTS.
The access to the shoreline is very limited.
Removing large and heavy items from the lake presents a major problem.
After speaking with Ken Sharpe, Parks Supervisor, City of Toronto
I learned that shopping carts and other trash originates from Highland Creek.
Strong lake currents caused by stormy weather distribute trash from Highland Creek
along the shoreline of Lake Ontario to our Guildwood Village.
Shopping carts on the beach pose a threat to all of us as well as deer and fox.

ecommerce shopping carts
Hello Gisela! Nice to meet you! Thanks for the visit and comment. It is very nice to know that someone could understand the same feeling. Somehow, made me feel less homesick :)
